Indoor And Outdoor Toddler Activities

1. Dancing

Fun things to do with toddlers- toddler activites

Listening to music is really good for your child. My baby immediately starts dancing when we play some of his favorite songs. We usually stop what we’re doing and have a little dance party with him, he gets super excited.

Dancing will get your kid moving, developing their fine motor skills and gross motor skills. It will also help with muscle development, strength and balance.

2. Painting

Painting can get messy but, it helps kids develop many new skills. Painting also allows them to freely express themselves and develop their creativity.

I love this painting kit from Amazon because the paint is non toxic and washable. It comes with a ton on painting supplies, canvases, brushes and more!

A walk can be very exciting to your little one. Plus, going out to get some sun is a great source of Vitamin D and a great way to get them to get some exercise. Make sure your child wears comfortable shoes when they are walking to prevent any painful blisters.

5. Swimming

If your baby loves water like mine does, then it’s never a bad idea to take your child out for a swim. It will help them develop strength and endurance and also helps maintain a healthy weight, heart and lungs.

6. Reading

reading with your toddler

Reading is a great way for your baby to learn. It helps build listening, memory, and vocabulary skills. It also expands their imagination and helps them understand the world better, it can be very fun if you make it.

Get your baby their first library, so they can start leaning their numbers, letters, animals and more. I like this 10 book set from amazon.

8. Park

Park with toddler

To kids, a park is a huge place full of adventures. A toddler will have a great time just walking on the grass and pointing at trees. Or even picking up sticks and acorns because they are curious to touch everything they see.

9. Park

Bath time can be so fun for some babies, especially if there’s toys and bubbles involved. My kid loves bath time, he even cries when it’s time to get out. Warm water gets him very relaxed and he usually falls asleep right after. They’ll stay a bit longer and enjoy it more if they had some bath toys.

10. Hiking

Connecting with nature always feels great. There’s so much to look at, from plants to a beautiful open sky view. If you have a baby, baby carriers come in handy.

11. Drawing

Drawing helps your baby develop fine motor skills. It also allows them to express how they feel and what they are thinking, just like painting. I suggest you keep an eye out though, because if you look away for one second your walls will become their canvas.
