Advice for first time moms of newborns and toddlers

Advice For First Time Moms Of Newborns And Toddlers

1. Don’t Let Strangers Touch Your Baby

I hate when strangers touch my baby for 2 reasons;

1. I don’t know where their hands have been

2. They can be trying to harm or even kidnap my child

2. Keep everything clean

A baby’s immune system doesn’t mature until around 2 or 3 months. So it’s very important to keep your house clean and to wash your hands often.

You should also wash all of your baby’s toys and bottles very well, with baby dish soap. i like to use this one because it doesn’t leave behind any harmful chemicals that can harm my baby. It’s made without parabens, phthalates and animal derived ingredients plus, it’s cruelty free.

3. DIY baby food

Did you know that some packaged baby foods have a shelf life of 2 years. That should tell you enough, because your new baby should be getting nothing but fresh food.

Packaged baby food contain too much sugar, which can affect your baby’s health and even their teeth over time.

If you don’t want to or don’t have time to make your own baby food then you should do your research on the different brands out there. But, if you decide to make your own baby food I recommend these baby food containers from Amazon.

All you have to do is blend fruits or veggies with a little bit of water and separate them in these small containers. Then, put them in the fridge to keep fresh.

4. Do research on vaccinations

When I was pregnant, my boyfriend and I had many fears when it came to vaccinating our newborn. After doing research we came to the decision of spacing out our child’s vaccines. Everything went well and we’re happy with the decision we made.

Make sure that you do your research too before your baby gets their vaccinations.

5. Use safe products

Use baby products that are safe for your baby, make sure that they are free from harmful ingredients.

This baby shampoo and body wash doesn’t contain sulfates, parabens, phthalates, and it’s cruelty free. It is made with naturally derived ingredients and it’s scented with natural essential oils instead of harmful fragrances. They are even safe for newborns.

As far as lotion goes, I always used this belly butter on my baby. I started using it when I was pregnant to prevent stretch marks and I chose it because it’s 100% natural.

It’s made with shea butter, cocoa butter, argan oil, rosehip oil, almond oil, jojoba oil and vitamin E. That’t it! I know it’s a belly butter but it’s just perfect for babies specially newborns, it can’t get any more natural, I love it, the cocoa butter makes it smell so good, it’s so moisturizing and it makes my skin feel so smooth.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering…

Yes! It did help me prevent stretch marks and even helped fade existing ones too!
