18 month old toddler daily routine, sample sleep schedule

If you’re wondering what a 12- 18 month old’s daily routine and sleeping schedule looks like then you’re in the right place!

I have a sweet little boy who’s 18 months and he has been on this schedule since he was 1 year old. He went from waking up several times a night and taking 3 naps to taking 2 naps but now sleeps throughout the night. When we began to sleep train our baby, we changed his schedule a bit. We realized that he was sleeping too much during the day causing him to not be sleepy at night. It’s so important to time your child’s naps to help them sleep better at night.

After we changed his schedule and followed these sleep training techniques, he was able to get a full night’s sleep and two 1 hour naps. We’re currently loving this schedule. My partner and I are able to get good rest at night and squeeze in some work during his naps.

We only give our toddler milk when he’s going to bed, we give him a sippy cup and leave the room, he then he falls asleep on his own. This is what’s working for us right now, and I like it because he’s able to fall asleep without our help.

We like to use cups without straws for milk because they’re easier to wash. However, we do use cups with straws for water during the day time. These sippy cups are our favorites, they are leak proof.

During our toddler’s free time, he we like to run errands or participate in activities that are both fun and educational. We make sure that our son stays active. It really helps when sleep training and even after because it tires them out and help them get a deeper sleep.
